Baked Brown Rice Tortilla Chips
posted by Jennifer
We LOVE Chips in the Smith household. We eat lots of salsa and guacamole and were in dire need of a healthy option… hence the Baked Brown Rice Tortilla Chips! You can substitute any tortilla. We have also used corn tortillas and Ezekiel tortillas, but our favorite is brown rice. They are so light and crispy. YUMM!
EASY EASY EASY RECIPE!
You’ll Need:
- 1 Package rown Rice Tortilla Chips
- Spray Grapeseed Oil
- Garlic Salt
Substitute Tortillas:
- Ezekiel
- Corn
- Whole Grain or wheat
Substitute Sprays:
- Grapeseed oil
- Coconut oil
- Olive oil
To Prepare:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Lay tortillas flat on a cutting board and cut them like a pie with a pizza cutter. Each tortilla makes 8 pieces.
Lay a metal baking rack onto a cookie sheet. Lay tortilla pieces onto the rack and spray with grape seed oil. Sprinkle chips with garlic salt.
Place cookie sheet in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes. Make sure you check periodically as some ovens cook faster than others!
Once golden brown remove from oven and let cool! Enjoy!
Yields approx 48 chips
Serve with any type of dip!!
Big thinks to my special helpers Scout and Selah today!

The Vitamix is worth it. We use it multiple times a day to make fast and crmeay raw vegan smoothies, dressings, soups, icecream, almond milk and more. It is irreplaceable in the kitchen and the first appliance I would buy again, when on a raw or even vegan diet. It saves so much time. It can take up to 15 min using a regular blender when you have to chop everything really small and then blend in small batches and let it run for longer. The vitamix can blend everything in 30 s -1 min
