I LOVE Hummus. It is such a great and easy thing to have around to snack on mid day or while you’re making supper. You can also use it as spread on various dishes like wraps and even on fish tacos. Not only do I love hummus, but my kids and husband do to! Who doesn’t love a food that the whole family enjoys? I decided to take a normal red pepper hummus recipe and put a little spicy twist on it. Can you see a trend happening in all my recipes 🙂 ha! Im a sucker for jalepenos and spice! It adds the perfect little bite to an already amazing taste. I hope you all enjoy this Jalepeño and Roasted Red Pepper Hummus!
You will need:
2 Cans of Garbanzo Beans, drained and rinsed
1 12oz Jar of Roasted Red Pepper, only the peppers not the juices
1/4 cup pickled jalepeños, can add more if needed or take out completely.
5 cloves of garlic, less or more depending on your taste
1 large lemon juiced, or two small
1 1/2 TBS Tahini
1 tsp Olive Oil
I made this in my food processor. So quick and easy, but you can also do it in a blender
Rinse and drain garbanzo beans and add to food processor.
Drain one jar of roasted red peppers and add pieces of pepper to food processor. Add the rest of the ingredients into the food processor.
Pulse until desired texture.
Its as easy as that! Serve with lots of fresh veggies and/or pita chips! Great snack or appetizer!
